UNINTERRUPTIBLE AC & DC POWER SUPPLY FOR ANY 24VDC OR 12VDC TRANSCEIVER (AN/LST-5, KY-57/99, AN/PRC-119 SINCGARS SIP & ASIP, MBITR, OTHERS)

The stand alone, AC/DC or AC TRANSCEIVER BATTERY ELIMINATOR™ (TBE) connects to the transceiver via a provided 24VDC or 12VDC output cable that is terminated with a BA-5590 battery connector.

Velcro hooks and loops at the end of the cable provide strain relief at the transceiver end.

Each standard unit includes 1 AC power cord, 1 DC input cable (AC/DC TBE only), and 1 DC output cable with a BA-5590 connector.

DC OUTPUT CABLE OPTIONS:

• 24VDC for AN/LST-5 or Sunburst (use D-Sub connector):
  24VDC output cable with LST-5 adapter (D-Sub)

• 24VDC for transceiver and auxiliary 24VDC for amplified speaker and encryption units:
  24VDC Y-split cable terminated with 2 BA-5590 connectors
  24VDC Y- split output cable with 1 LST-5 adapter (D-Sub) and 1 BA-5590 connector
  24VDC Y- split output cable with 2 LST-5 adapters (D-Sub)

FEATURES:

• Worldwide, universal AC input with continuous operation from 85VAC to 270VAC (not limited to 95VAC) that compensates for a low voltage AC generator power and unstable AC power source in foreign countries.

• Wide DC input range of 9 to 36VDC (not limited to 11V) to include 12VDC, 24VDC, 28VDC aircraft power, DC generators and to accommodate a low DC input voltage.

• Full 24VDC / 4.25A continuous, 5A peak is available for the Transceiver in any mode of operation from AC power source. No battery pack is required to supplement the DC power for the transceiver during transmission! The unit is compatible with the next generation transceivers that require 90-100W of power for operation.

• Auxiliary 24VDC for amplified speaker and encryption units is available.

• Operator Safety! Separate AC input cable, DC input cable and DC output cable isolate the AC power source from the user and the transceiver to prevent electrical shock and safety hazard. All cables are included with the unit.

• Fully automatic self-contained unit. No user intervention or setup is required!

• The unit is fully protected against:

  AC and DC Input noise and voltage surge to 600V.
  External Electro-magnetic interference (EMI/RFI) on inputs and output.
  Over-Temperature, Over-Voltage and Continuous short circuit.
  All the internal self-resettable fuses reset themselves automatically.
  Two AC fuses (one active and one spare) are located in a user accessible fuse tray.

• The Operating Temperature is -40°C to +70°C to match the transceiver's operating temperature range. The extended temperature range accommodates operation under extreme arctic or desert weather condition.

• Size (2.1" x 4.75" x 6.75") and weight (2.25 or 2.8 lbs) are comparable to a BA-5590/U battery. The unit occupies only 67 cubic inches of space and will easily fits inside the user's ruckshack.
